As an industrial packer, we get to carry out a variety of projects. More than once, we work with shrink foil to properly protect diverse objects such as units and machinery. Small or large objects, almost always valuable. In this project, we were asked to seal wind turbine components in preparation for wind turbine transport. The shrink wrap serves to protect the various components during storage. We carried out the project in Belgium.
A wind turbine consists of several parts such as the mast, rotor blades, cradle, rotor hub and foundation. In this project, we protected (parts of) the mast, rotor blades and cradle. Our shrink-seal specialists shrink-wrapped the large parts on site for weather protection.
